Samantha McSwain Stith’s only child, Carlos LaMont McSwain, died unexpectedly at age 35 after suffering a massive heart attack at his home in Los Angeles, California.

A Lifelong Passion for Music

Carlos began playing drums at a young age with the Cleveland County group “Keys of Harmony.” His early love of music would become the foundation of an extraordinary career.

“Carlos was very, very humble, a renowned drummer, was educated in the Cleveland County Schools system until his mother's acting career flourished and afforded her the opportunity to travel and tour with various stage plays and tours. Although she was pursuing her career, she ensured that Carlos was still obtaining the necessary education through a homeschool program headquartered in Greenville, SC.

Carlos loved music and at a very early age learned to play the drums. At an early age, Carlos played in different churches, quartets and other musical groups and stage plays. At the age of 8 years old, he was hired as the drummer with the touring stage production of "A Good Man is Hard to Find" with the late David Payton. At the time of his death, he was the drummer for  Snoop Dog. Carlos privilege to work included such artists as Aaliyah, Michael Jackson, Blackstreet, Usher, Tamar Braxton, Kelly Price, John P Kee, and numerous other artists. He was also a beloved member of the band 1500orNothing. 

Samatha and Kenneth Stith has chosen to keep their son’s legacy alive by naming their brands after him. LOSwear and LOS Productions were birthed after their beloved son, Carlos.
